AOC’s Border Photo-Op Couldn’t Be More Fake if She Tried

You know you have a big problem if you’re a far-left progressive darling, and even the most cringe-worthy liberals on Twitter are ganging up to call you out for doing something stupid.

Tensions are rising pretty high as Congress struggles to pass legislation to fund operations on the border right ahead of a recess. This should remind us of two things: Congress doesn’t need a raise, and being a lawmaker is in fact a part-time job. But we digress…

In a bizarre display of virtue signaling, New York Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez decided to show us all just how much she cares by sharing a photo taken of her crying by a fence on the border in 2018 — before she was elected. Not pictured are any detained immigrant children, or any of the so-called “concentration camps” she claims are along the border. Instead, we just have a bunch of selfies of the former bartender looking sad.

Naturally, the internet is having a field day with this — and we couldn’t be happier for it. We feel this image is pretty relatable for everyone reading this — most of us have been known to make this mistake from time to time.
