U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Christopher Lopez told Alex Jones that he needs to sell off InfoWars to help pay the huge and ridiculous $1.5 billion in damages for spreading false ideas about the Sandy Hook school killing.
Lopez said at a court hearing on Tuesday that a sale will start in November to sell all of Jones’s things. In spite of the unusual police actions meant to destroy him, Jones vows to keep going.
Jones said on a recent show, “It’s very clear that the assets of Free Speech Systems can be sold. That includes the website, the tools, the shopping cart, and everything else. They know this for sure: there will be a lot of patriotic buyers, and then things can calm down.”
Christopher Mattei, a lawyer for the families of the Sandy Hook victims, almost admitted that the case is only about limiting Jones’ right to free speech.
He said in a public statement on Tuesday, “Alex Jones will no longer own or run the company he built. This aids the families in their aim to hold him responsible for the harm he has caused.”
Big League Politics wrote about the horrible processes in Kangaroo Court against Jones:
“According to a new law similar to the ones used in the Soviet Union, Infowars founder Alex Jones may have to pay $2.5 trillion because he spoke out about current events.”
The Sandy Hook families were not happy with the $1 billion they got in the last show trial. Now they want Jones to pay $2.5 trillion, which makes the court processes laughably ridiculous.
They got the number by increasing each of Alex Jones’s 550 million social media hits by $5,000, which is the most that the law lets them do. They are suing under a Connecticut rule that usually lets people sue companies that sell counterfeit goods. People are changing the law on the spot to try to punish Jones.
Their lawyers said in the filing, “The only proper punitive damages awarded in this case is the biggest award within the court’s power. The defendants did what they did on purpose, with bad intentions, and knowing that they were hurting people who had no way to fight back but to bring this case.”
Jones is still building his fan base and becoming more famous among the Populist Right, even though it is clear that the system is working to bring him down.
