A Tale of Two Russia Scandals

For almost a year now, the Democratic establishment and the liberal media have been spreading the narrative that the only reason Donald Trump is President of the United States is because some clever Kremlin operatives hacked him to victory.

Russia, they proclaim, is an evil regime bent on worsening America’s political divisions — something they oddly mocked Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney for suggesting back in 2012.

But if Vladimir Putin is such a tyrant (which is rather hard to dispute), why would the Democrats bribe him to acquire more uranium?

This is the Russia scandal the mainstream media is refusing to report on. According to the Hill, the Senate Judiciary Committee is opening a probe into potential bribes made leading up to the Obama administration approving a controversial uranium deal with Moscow.

Considering that Obama woefully dismissed the idea that Russia could be a hostile actor back in 2012, we might have been able to simply write this off as bad policy. But with Democrats pushing the narrative that Russia is an evil actor responsible for denying Hillary Clinton her coronation, is a little ideological consistency too much to ask for?
