A Message to Other Countries About Invading America

This meme showing a map of America labeled “Why You Shouldn’t Invade America” went viral this week. In addition to being hilarious, it’s also fairly accurate if you’ve traveled much across this country.

Navy SEALs, gangs, cowboys, “Long Range Mormons,” Florida Man, people who wear shorts in winter – what an amazing country we live in!

We do take a bit of umbrage with the “Nazis” living in northern Idaho and Montana. There haven’t been any Nazis, Klansmen or white supremacist groups in that part of the country for quite a few years, and this is a vicious stereotype that just seems to bitterly stick around. Fun fact: Boise has more black citizens per capita than the San Francisco Bay area, because cost of living is so much nicer and because there are no white supremacists around.

Oh, and the “This part wouldn’t be that tough” label for northern California and western Oregon is true also. Although we wouldn’t recommend that any invading force try to move east of the Cascade Mountains. Just sayin’.

Anyway, it’s a very creative map and it gave us a chuckle. Enjoy perusing it!
