This meme is a wonderful reminder that Donald Trump – who had never been a politician and was a total political outsider – was way better at foreign policy than the last several foreign-policy-expert politicians who were president before him. Obama, Bush Jr., and Clinton all traveled to the DMZ between North & South Korea and gazed across through binoculars. That was as close as any of those idiots ever got.
But Donald Trump played Kim Jong Un like a fiddle on the world stage. He called him “Little Rocket Man” and publicly goaded him to the point where Kim finally picked up the phone.
For the first time in more than 70 years, the Hermit Kingdom came out of hiding for a little while and actually started talking with South Korea and the US about finally ending the Korean War. Then, John Bolton and his stupid moustache effed the whole thing up.
Donald Trump very nearly brought world peace on the Korean Peninsula for the first time in generations, with no “foreign policy experience” whatsoever. Trump is simply a better “people person” than the rest of our former leaders combined.
